The thought of surgery can be frightening, and understandably so. Dental surgery, however, is quite unique. Dental surgeries usually involve a shorter recovery time than other surgeries. In addition, modern local anesthetic techniques make them virtually painless. You also do not usually have to fast beforehand, and can almost always leave the office right after your surgery is completed. Wisdom tooth removal 

You probably know at least one person who’s had their wisdom teeth removed. A popular misconception is that wisdom teeth must be removed. The truth is that they usually only need to be removed when they start causing you problems, which may or may not happen. Also, not all wisdom tooth removal is surgical, and many of them may be removed in the same manner as other teeth.  The ones that are removed surgically take a bit of time to heal, but usually heal nicely without complications.
